Used TO France:1919, 2 sh 6d King George V “Seahorse”, Bradbury, Wilkinson printing, 2s 6d chocolate brown combined with a 1912 2½d blue, tied by "BIRMINGHAM 21 DE 19" c.d.s. tied to envelope bearing 2-line hand stamp "AIR MAIL EXPRESS' in lower right, manuscript "By Aerial Service Empress" in upper left with blue crayon express marking and red crayon "8S" addressed to Monsieur Walker in Paris. On the reverse three different Paris receivers 12 /19 receivers. Slight toning. Ex Klempka.(SG 414,372 )

1913-1919 Seahorsese ("Britannia" KGV high values on commercial mail to overseas destinations. Listed in cronological orde. - An early mail franking with 2sh 6d in express rate and paid an additional 2½d foreign letter yare. Three years post pioneer flights.
