Our first sale of 2023 brings us Part VIII of the “Erivan” Collection of United and Confederate States Postal History. Each sale from this incredible collection has its own unique highlights, and in this instance there are particularly powerful sections of United and Confederate States Postmasters’ Provisionals as well as a strong selection of local stamps. A few particular items of note include:
  • The finest example of the New Haven Postmaster Provisional envelope (Lot 2)
