Lot 3178 - The vermilion MERKUR: 6 Kr. Vermilion, type IIIb, so-called "vermilion MERKUR", illuminating fresh colours, three sided enormously with wide margins, left to the margin line cut, unused with full, especially fresh original gumming and tenuous hinge trace. These issue is one of the all large rarities of the philately and is absent in almost all collections. There are only a few examples have been preserved, the nearly all no gum and give or take strong defects show. A showpiece the Austria philat....

Worldwide Public Auction - February 18-20, 2021

The 109th International Gert Müller Auction offers a wide range of single lots and collections with an estimated value of over 5 million euros in five auction catalogues. Three auction catalogues contain single lots.
  • The main catalogue with numerous single lots from Germany, Europe and overseas with many rarities including Switzerland classic issues, German states, German Empire, German colonies and Germany after 1945. There are numerous rare varieties and covers also on offer.
  • Another single lot catalogue includes rare stamps and German specialties from four special collections. As well as German Empire rare issues from the "Paracelsus"collection, Bizone overprint issues with rarities and unique varieties, SBZ handstamp, scarce Federal Republic frankings and cancelled corner margins.
  • In another special catalogue comes the first part of the unique special collection of German Local Posts Freudenstadt from Dr. Karl Penning including extremely scarce and unique covers. This collection from the well-known Dr. Penning was collected over 50 years.
The last two auction catalogues contain:
  • Numerous one country and special collections are being auctioned, including many overseas, a large number of collections of Fournier forgeries, entire estates and boxes.
  • Coin lots as well as exquisite pieces of Jewellery.
