PLANE ACCIDENT: Cover sent from Santiago to Paris on 19/JUL/1929 by C.G.A. (pilot Rolland). In Mauritania, 90 km away from Tiznit, the plane had to make an emergency landing and the crew was captured by a tribe that destroyed and burned
the LATÉ airplane, after stealing personal effects and part of the mail. Rolland and the rest of the crew were released a few days later. Cover with evident signs of damage from the accident, with special French handstamp explaining the issue,
