COVER: Commercial cover sent from Buenos Aires to USA on 17/JUN/1938 by registered airmail (franked $3.35 with stamps of the Proceres & Riquezas I issue). The airplane carrying the letter crashed in the Andes, and was found 30 months later! It bears
violet markings applied by the Chile Post: "Letter salvaged from the Panagra P-80 airplane, lost in Chile, in flight, in the Andes mountains on 19 June 1938. Santiago, ... February 1941" and "AL REMITENTE", fantastic and very rare (not listed by
