Stanley Gibbons Sale - 5915

The Malcolm Domingo Collection - January 28, 2020

Malcolm is a retired businessman and occasional artist. He joined the RAF in the 1950s, where he became a fencing champion and pilot. After leaving he ran a South London art business for many years, before retirement. He was born in India before the war, and developed a lifelong interest in the country and its history. These have come together in this collection. For over thirty years, he specialised in the Convention States, with forays into covers from the same period, and India stamps overprinted in Zanzibar. His love of collection later included classical Greek coins.

Malcolm has a methodical and details approach to collecting, which is evident in the quality of all his collections.

The extensive Uttama collection will be split over several sales, with states initially being offered alphabetically. In this first sale we feature A (Alwar) to J (Jammy and Kashmir).
