Officer / Halifax Fortress" Postmark on Cover, a light strike on the back of a "Canadian Pacific Ocean Services" cover mailed from Halifax (AUG.23.1917 Type 23-2 War Savings flag ties stamps) to Toronto. Similar to Toop / Bailey's M8-10 (RF E)
except this example reads "... Officer" rather than "... Office". A rare military marking, perhaps on a cover addressed to a soldier going overseas. Overall toning, else very fine.
