122 E/P 219DP image3c King George V Pictorial Large Die Proof, printed in colour of issue, die sunk (75 x 79 mm) on card measuring 125 x 195 mm, with "X-G-579" die number below the image, and "Canadian Bank Note Co. Ltd." below that. Very fine and scarce.

124 E/P 290DP image2c King George VI Progressive Large Die Proof, printed in red brown on a white background on wove paper, die-sunk measuring 75 x 79 mm (100 x 103 mm total dimensions), with "XG886" die number at top. The design shows minute differences with the issued stamp, noting the King's coat lapels, lettering at top and "¢", etc. Very rare and very fine.

125 nh 463 image1967 15c Dull Purple Greenland Mountains with Dramatic Paper Fold, a mint never hinged block of six from the lower right corner of the sheet, showing a dramatic fold in lower right corner which would have occurred after printing (as position 50 stamp is printed in full) and before perforating (as perforations are askew). Margin shows rare cross-hatching overtop the plate inscription. A visually stunning printing variety.

All are addressed to "Ville" (Montréal and have a precancelled (#0700) 1c KGV Medallion issue. L'Ordre was only published for two years, in 1934 and 1935. Overall fine and interesting reading. 139 O   imageCollection of Early "Unauthorized" Precancels, an interesting group of two styles. The first style consists of a row of about 8 lines, cut into a number of rectangular smaller lines (may be attributed to Belleville), this is presented on five 15c Large Queens (blue grey and grey violet) and 5 different Small Queens (1c to 10c). A second style consists of 3 to 5 thin horizontal lines (in black or red) on a 10c Small Queen and five 1c Numeral issues. A difficult group to assemble, and overall fine to very fine with nice strikes.
