401 CVR   image1850 Folded Letter Scotland to California, via Forwarding Agent, the letter inside is datelined Glasgow OCT.22.1850 and it is addressed to San Francisco, California. The front is endorsed "Consignee per William" and has a oval "Forwarded By / P.T. Aikman / Glasgow" handstamp in black. Docketing inside reads "Received July 14th 1851" (9 months later!), overall fine.

402 CVR   image1811-1850 Trio of Folded Letters with Leith Ship Letter Postmarks, first is datelined OCT.7.1811with "Ship Letter / Crown / Leith" double oval in red to Edinburgh, second (no letter inside) was mailed on DEC.11.1847 with "Schiffs Briefpost / Hamburg" datestamp to Edinburgh with oval :Ship Letter / Leith" in black (Auckland #ED392) and third (no letter inside) was mailed in December 1850 with "Schiffs Briefpost / Hamburg" datestamp to Edinburgh, with oval "Ship Letter / Leith" in black (Auckland #ED392) and Leith DEC.22.1850 datestamp in red. Overall fine to very fine trio.

403 CVR   image1841 Folded Letter Scotland to Australia, the letter inside is datelined Aberdeen AUG.3.1841, addressed to Melbourne / Port Philip / Australia. Back shows a boxed "Aberdeen / Aug 3 / 1841 N" datestamp in black and front shows a boxed "Paid at / Aberdeen" handstamp in red. Front also shows three datestamps in red: one dated AUG.4 (in circle with PAID), one resembling a tombstone with PAID and unreadable date and a third reading "Paid Ship Letter / London" dated AUG.6. Overall fine and an interesting cover from this country, which was in-between occupancy of the Dutch and the English in the period just before it became the colony of British Guiana in 1831.
