413   imageGroup of Queen Victoria Hausburg Chalon Reprints, sanctioned by the post office in 1906, for a reference book by the R.P.S.L. that was never produced. The 2d value (from plate II) is well known as 1,000 sheets were produced. However, the other five values and a subsequent printing of the 2d (plate I) were only done in 6 sheets each (1,440 impressions each). All 7 versions are here, thus a scarce offering.

414 ng 9h image1859 6d Pale Brown Queen Victoria Chalon on Thin, Hard Paper, mint with part original gum and four clear to large margins. Far better than normally seen, with only a very light horizontal crease, very fine.

415 E/P 159P image1915 1sh King George V Plate Proof in Black, a complete sheet of 120 stamps printed on unwatermarked ungummed stamp paper. Upper left margin shows plate "26" imprint and there is a light pencil notation in the margin at left reading "9/9 flaw on left I/". A few minor faults in the margins (stain, minor tears and creases) else very fine and suitable for framing.

416 nh 161 image1916 1½d Grey Black King George V, an upper left corner block of 4 with plate “14”, mint never hinged, but with gum disturbance – 2019 CP (K1a[4] - NZ$600.). Also an upper left corner block of four proof of the 2½d KGV issue in black on ungummed, unwatermarked paper, showing a plate “17” inscription.

417 E/P 184P image1927 1d Red Admiral Colour Trials, in three different shades of mint blocks of 12 on a collector’s album page. The extent of this issue was not uncovered until 1968 and remains one of the enigmas of KGV collectors. Large blocks are very uncommon. Counted half each as hinged and never hinged as the three least expensive shades. 2019 Campbell Paterson NZ$1,680.
