164 E/P   imageCirca 1927 British American Bank Note Company Trial Colour Progressive Essays, three different mint never hinged and gummed imperforate strips of 4, with lady facing left. The first is in black only, with albino traces of red vertical printing bands in the middle of the two centre stamps, the second is similar, but with the two vertical printed bands in red, and the third was printed in blue, with the same vertical red bands in the middle of the two centre stamps. Each has "SPECIMEN" at top of design, "OTTAWA" & "CANADA" on either side of lady, plus "B.A.B.N.Co." at bottom, very fine and rarely offered.
