1101 O 29/251A imageCollection / Accumulation of Great Britain Town Postmarks, 1858-1942, with roughly 3,000 stamps or on piece, neatly organized in a stockbook. The lot contains roughly 1,250 Victorian issues (including a few with Scott catalogue values ranging from $10 and up), noting a nice variety of postmarks including c.d.s types, numerals, duplex, squared circles and more, including a high proportion of stamps having socked on the nose cancels. A nice lot for Great Britain or worldwide postmark collectors. Our photos only show a small sampling. A few faults to be expected, overall fine to very fine. 1102 O 33 imageEight Stockbooks Full of G.B. Penny Reds Sorted by Plate Number Then by Position, all have letters in four corners, sorted by plate (71 to 224 inclusive) and by plate position (AA to TL) within each plate. We counted roughly 6,400 stamps, assumedly all from different positions and plates, with some plates being close to complete. Definitely a labour of love that must have taken years to assemble, just waiting for someone to continue. We noted the odd fault, still an overall fine or better collection.
