Semi-Official Airmails continued...
LotNo. Symbol Cat No. Lot Description
641 CVR CL21bi image1927 Patricia Airways "Style Two" with (5c) Horizontal Type D Overprint in Violet on Flown Cover, only 8 stamps (one sheet) were printed with this horizontal overprint, and this one is well tied on the front of a flown cover which left Red Lake on JUL.1.1927 and arrived Sioux Lookout on JUL.4.1921 (receiver on back, plus a second strike on the stamp). An extremely rare cover, as only about 5 covers were carried on the flight, of which only 2-3 were franked with this horizontal variety. Very fine, and an essential item for any serious semi-official airmail collection.
