720 c, entire, etc. imageGibraltar: 1848 (Sept. 4) entire letter (reverse with small faults) to Paris “par Phenicien” with small arc framed “GIBRALTAR” mark in red, Marseilles transit datestamp and rated “11” decimes with a Paris arrival datestamp in blue on reverse. The mark in use 1845-51 with this the fifth of eight examples in red believed to exist. Important exhibition item and significant rarity, fine and attractive. Photo. (Image1)
