991 nh bl imageIreland: 1925–28 Wide and Narrow Date 2s.6d. chocolate-brown, the ‘Foley’ corner block of ten, comprising eight stamps with wide dates above two stamps with narrow dates, mint with spots of gum toning and other small imperfections. The distribution of minor varieties on rows 1 and 2, repeated on rows 3 and 4, proves that the overprint was carried out in two operations. This unique block also represents the only known example demonstrating this arrangement of wide and narrow dates. Illustrated on page 245 of the 2020 Hibernian catalogue. Ex Pedneault.
