BOISSEVAIN” in violet at lower left (applied by Allan Crawford to Island mail to distinguish it from mail posted on board), octagonal charge mark cancelled by barred numerals as treated as compassionate mail. Lars had married Trina Glass at Bletchingley church in the UK in Jan. 1962 not long after the islanders evacuation while staying at Pendell Camp in Surrey, on the last Saturday before their move to Calshot three days later.
