Note: The “Suedmeer” was a German floating whaling factory, built in 1902 and from Secret Government Files since decoded, a 1939 (Jan. 7) telegram (copy included) was sent from the Magistrate at South Georgia to the Colonial Secretary reporting on its movements “These vessels are probably in the vicinity of South Orkneys.
