Emblems, rouletted on all four sides and tied by “8” barred numeral with “PORTLAND/VICTORIA” datestamp and superb “SHIP LETTER/FREE/BELFAST VICTORIA” c.d.s in red on reverse and a scarce mark.

(2) imperforate Emblems, variable margins, tied by indistinct barred numerals to an 1860 (Jan. 15) envelope to Bologna endorsed ”Via Trieste/Per Overland Mail”. It is unclear what the sender’s franking represented but appears to have been sent to Alexandria then a Mediterranean service to Trieste for which a ‘15’kr charge was made and then overland to destination.
