Crown CA, variety large “1” at left, used (B.P.A. certificate, 1948), Gambia 1938-46 Issue 1/2d. to 10s. set (less 11/2d. blue and black) perforated “SPECIMEN” (Samuel type B9), India: 1882-90 4a. slate-green variety watermark inverted, used, 1926-33 15r. watermark inverted in an unmounted mint interval margin block of six, Lagos 1888 (Jan. 5) mourning envelope to Germany franked by 4d. pale violet with bars cancellation, despatch c.d.s., marked “3” and with Paid Liverpool Br. Packet Feb. 12 in red, 1898 (Mar. 21) cover registered to Liverpool endorsed “per “Africa” S/S” and franked by 5d. dull mauve and green with nine bars cancellation, Rhodesia 1898-1908 set (less 3d.) overprinted italic “Specimen”, the 7s.6d., 10s. perforated “SPECIMEN”, Saint Helena 1968 3d. imperf. pair unmounted mint, Saint Vincent 1861 1d. rose-red mint horizontal pairs showing varieties imperf. and imperf. vertically respectively, also 1900 (Mar. 25) envelopes (one from Cape of Good Hope and one from Natal to England) both bearing red two line “RECOVERED FROM/WRECK OF MEXICAN”, etc., slightly varied condition.
