Lot 1529 - Falkland Islands: 1934 H.M.S. EXETER AIRMAIL COVER carried by seaplane launched by catapult from H.M.S. "Exeter" whilst in Falklands waters. A newly discovered envelope endorsed "AIR MAIL/PAR AVION" and addressed to "J.F. Bonner Esq./San Carlos", bearing 1933 Centenary 11/2d. tied by straight line "FIRST AIR MAIL 26-11-34" handstamp in violet, very rare. Only the seventh cover recorded and one of just two covers that show the full handstamp. Heijtz certificate (2019). Photo..... Sold for GBP 6,200
