1863 COVER TO NEWFOUNDLAND WITH A VERY RARE FRANKING: 7 Aug. 1863 EL from Miramichi to St John's Newfoundland bearing 1860 perf. 12 1c brown-purple marginal vertical strip of four and a 10c red tied by oval of bars with red ms "4" (packet rate) below. Fine and rare. Note: Argenti records 3 (possibly 4) of this franking and describes them as "exceedingly rare". This is probably the finest example. [Ex D Morrison]....
