Lot 315 - (3269(var)) YELLOW "H" STAMP, Block of 20, OG, NH, the unissued "Post Card" rate, this variety was pulled from sale but about 220 copies got out of which there are about 95 mint examples known and the rest are used, this variety was extensively covered in Linn's back in 1999, this block is the largest multiple recorded and the only one known, there are only a few blocks of four still intact, there are some gum disturbances on a couple of stamps and the certificate mentions a few perf separations and there are two perf scuffs on the B.R. stamp - Pos. 20, this block is from the initial discovery of the mint stamps out of a Church in Newcastle, Ind., this is only the second time this amazing modern rarity has been offered in the market, this item is listed in Scott as a footnote and puts the mint price of a single at $2,400 with no premiums for blocks, the certificate is for the block of 20.
