EARLY LETTER - SYRIA ("ALLEPPO") TO "TRIPOLI (LEBANON) WITH MERCHANT SYMBOL WAFER SEAL & STRING; Neat 14 Mar. 1484 EL (internal stain & faults to flap, but folds neatly to display internal heading alongside the address panel) written in unusually legible Italian by a Venetian merchant, clearly dated & headed from "Alleppo" inside, addressed to another merchant in "Tripoli", but also having an unusually fine intact wafer seal (with string attached) having a clear "U/+" merchant's symbol.
