EARLY CHRISTMAS CARDS: A carton containing 5 albums holding a remarkable collection of early cards 1860s - 1900s. Many of the earlier cards either are, or have in the past been, stuck down. Nevertheless, an attractive collection for the student of this popular form of communication inc. paper-lace, animated, 3-D, embossed, padded, fan (2), humourous, religious, a Penny Post Jubilee card (one corner slightly worn), a few silk-fringed or lace-edged cards, triptych by Hildesheimer, cards by Rimmel, Kate Greenaway, Edwardian PPCs etc. Very attractive and worthy of development into a written-up display.
