(faults to address side, mainly due to old hinging) ex "OOTACAMUND" (stamps tied by duplexes) to Madras (ds on flap) headed & signed "OHMS" by an R.E. Captain, franked (on reverse) by a fine Pair of rare ½a lilac '1866 Provisional' (SG O19; with green curved "SERVICE POSTAGE" opt) Postal Fiscal tied by light duplexes. Exceptionally rare on-cover usage of this very elusive stamp. Superb and Important Exhibition Item.
