Lot 168 - EXTENSIVE BUREAU PRECANCEL COLLECTION, includes several thousand virtually all different, hinged and mounted in two large three ring binders, incredibly complete with maybe a couple hundred missing - many of which catalog under $5 each, there are hundreds of precancels here with catalog values in the $5-200 range with perhaps a dozen which catalog higher (there are a five different Springfields), mostly singles but there are some pairs scattered, the overall condition is very, very nice with many sound and well centered issues, some of the higher catalog value items have a few scattered faults, there is also a very complete Playing Cards section with several better items, we have scanned a number of pages which have $50 and up stamps but there are hundreds of higher catalog value stamps here, still a little room for expansion and certainly a huge amount of retail value here, one of the more complete Bureau collections we have ever handled and really quite easy to work with, in addition there are two red bound Bureau albums included which have duplicates to the main collection, a really great lot for the specialist in this area, the total catalog value of this lot should be over our value listed here.
