Maxiais, on 3.12.1935, parish of Benquerença, municipality of Castelo Branco, locality served by the Rural Post Office, delivered to the distributor who marked it PR and delivered it to the post office, from where it was sent to Porto. There are few
documents where the RURAL POST OFFICE mark can be attributed to a locality. It has two archival holes.(Image

he was absent, a new address was indicated as "Cernache" and "tub cn.franquia" (no need for new postage). As he was also not in that location, it was re-sent to Lisbon (4.9.) with the indication "Lieutenant in Infantry 16 - Avenida Duque de Loulé n°6

franking, so the postage mark p4 was applied by the post office. Followed by control 166 which crosses out the mark and applies the stamp [FOLLOWS], as the entity is exempt from franking under the terms of art. 30° of DL 29 708 of 19.6.1939 and
