2034 imagePort. India 1950 cover from Moira to Berlin Germany franked with Padroes issue 3 tangas (Mf# 342) and a MH 6 reis (Mf# 378). scarce Moira CDS on the front without year in date bridge. Bombay transit CDS on the back. NOTE: This envelope was reused. It was a Swiss Roche pharmaMf#utical envelope posted from Basel to Moira in 1949. The Moira CDS on the inside is dated 1949 with year in the date bridge. A very late and scarce use of the Padroes issue. Please see scans. Very unusual.(Image 1) (Image 2) (Image 3)

2035 imagePort. India 1958 censored surface rated cover from Calangute to Bombay franked with a Sao Paulo issue 2 tangas (Mf# 437) and tied by a Calangute village CDS. The village postmark is scarce. NOTE: This envelope was censored: “OPENED BY INDIA CUSTOMS” + crude censor tape. Please see the photos. After the Union of India annexation of Damao, Diu and Nagar Aveli in 1954, random censorship of Goan mail did occur. Very scarce.(Image 1) (Image 2) (Image 3)

2036 image75. 1955 surface cover from Calangute to Palmer Massachusetts, franked with a single 1 1/2 tangas Vultos issue (CE 386), a single 6 reis Arte Sacra issue (CE 431), two 3 reis Pinto issues (CE 435) and a single 2 tangas Pinto issue (CE 436). The stamps are tied by a scarce “Calangute” village CDS. On nt back is ahanstamp of the “Colegio Mater Dei” in Saligao, Goa. “S.A.G.” in the bottom left corner is for “St. Anthony’s Guide”.
