Victoria2d. Fifth Printing - S.G. 13, 13a, 13b, 13cThe 12-subject intermediate stone used for the fourth printing of the 2d. stamp was
retouched in the veils using an acid brush. Each of the 12 types thus demonstrates a unique veil pattern, ranging from white to "vertical drapes". Ten transfers from the retouched intermediate stone were used to prepare the printing stone of 120 (12
x 10). It is estimated that 36,000 were printed (300 sheets). As with the fourth printing, subject spacing was very close, so four margin examples are very scarce. The earliest recorded use is 28 December 1850.2d. reconstruction of the intermediate
stone of twelve subjects, comprising a pair and ten singles in a range of shades, Butterfly (including "33") and Barred Oval cancellations; [1] with corner nick, [8] with a thin though generally good to fine, [11] with RPSV Certificate (1995). S.G.
