The 'Lionheart' Collection of British Empire Part XXII - July 23, 2025

We are pleased to present the twenty-second part of the Lionheart collection, including Commonwealth rarities from British Guiana, Burma, Canada, Falkland Islands, KUT, Mafia Island, Nyasaland, Togo and Uganda. As well as a range of fine single items, there are a good number of single country collections on offer. Highlights:
  • British Guiana, 1938-52 4c. scarlet and black, vertical pair from the top of the sheet, variety imperforate horizontally (Lot 44)
  • Falkland Islands, 1918-20 War Stamp 1d. orange-vermilion (comb perf.), an unused block of twelve showing variety overprint double (Lot 86)
  • Kenya, Uganda and Tanganyika, 1922-27 Watermark Multiple Script CA, £10 black and green, very well-centred and with fresh colours (Lot 160)
