It was not discovered until nine years after it was issued, and to date only ten examples have been recorded. All ten were used on commercial mail, therefore most have creases or other faults. The example offered here, which is referred to as the Reading copy, is one of the few that can be described as sound. In fact we know of only one other sound copy, that being the ex-Plass example, though the Salz copy is a bit better centered.A highly desirable single of this remarkable error. Accompanied by 1952 PF and 1969 APS certificates; ex-Nagle, Barr, Conger and Wagonfeld. (Image) $10,000.00
