How to Collect Stamps and Covers, Bidding in Auctions, Investing in Stamps and Specialized Articles

Collecting postage stamps of the world and postal history (Stamps on their original envelopes) is a very rewarding hobby in and of itself. There are dozens of approaches that will inspire you and give you the thrill of the hunt. Building a level of knowledge in a specific collecting area can give you the advantage of knowing what is rare but underpriced and will give you a further sense of satisfaction. However, it is folly to buy stamps solely for the purpose of investment. On the other hand, if you like collecting stamps, postal history or want to collect from a country you love, you might as well build a collection that has value. Then when the time comes to sell, you can at least get your money back.

What you should know if you are going to spend serious money as a Stamp or Postal History Collector.

Call for Articles with specific Stamp Collecting Areas. As 2019 approaches we will be adding features to make StampAuctionNetwork more of a community. Part of that will be content. We are looking for specific content that would inspire new collectors and give them ideas of where to start building collections that will give enjoyment but also retain their value. If you have an article in Word or PDF form and would allow it to be presented in a new Current Articles section of StampAuctionNetwork, let me know by replying and attaching a copy. If you require payment, let me know, but for the most part this will be a way to get a wide exposure for your article.
