20143 S.G. 133 image1867–83 £5 Orange on Blued Paper, Fresh Mint, An Extremely Rare High ValueAn exceptionally fine example of one of the rarest and most elusive high values. Lettered BN. This £5 Orange on blued paper is very fresh mint, retaining a large part of the original gum with only a small hinge remainder. A minuscule perf split at the top and a faint gum wrinkle are noted for accuracy, neither detracting from the outstanding condition and visual appeal.A superb and highly desirable mint example, representing the pinnacle of classic British philately. Horsey states "likely to be 100-120 mint examples on blued paper worldwide. This estimate includes defective copies; the number of fine copies is much smaller". Stanley Gibbons Specialised Catalogue value: £60'000. Expertise: Signed A. Diena, accompanied by certificates from the British Philatelic Association (1944 & 2025). (Image 1) (Image 2) (Image 3)

The stamp displays very pleasing colour and a strong overall presentation.A desirable example of one of the key Surface Printed high values, seldom encountered in such appealing condition. Stanley Gibbons Catalogue value: £130'000. Expertise: Accompanied by a British Philatelic Association Certificate (2025). (Image 1) (Image 2) (Image 3)

20152 O S.G. 137 image1867–83 £5 Orange Outstanding Vertical Strip of Five, UsedAn important multiple, a fresh used vertical strip of five, each stamp clearly cancelled by Chester circular date stamps (1900). A small black ink stain on the reverse between the third and fourth stamps is faintly visible from the front, noted purely for accuracy; otherwise, the multiple is in exceptionally fine condition, remarkable for a used multiple of this considerable size. This is a superb rarity, recorded by Horsey as the third largest used multiple of this iconic high-value. A striking exhibition-quality piece, combining visual impact and rarity. (Image 1) (Image 2)
