30941 ,ROW Mi. 3x image1858 (Feb) Russia 20k blue & orange, impressed watermark '2' on thick paper, a very fine example of this rare stamp used on cover front to Warsaw, tied by circular Polish numeral "106" cancellation of Tarnogród in black. Straight line TARNOGROD handstamp at right in red above Warsaw arrival cds in red. A wonderful and unique usage. ONLY TWO 50 REIS COVERS ARE RECORDED TO DENMARK (both from the same correspondence, this cover and another from September 1853). Torlades & Co were actually also the senders of the only known cover to Finland (which is part of the Figueiredo collection).
