Firenze date stamp to left, small red PD and French entry cds, London tombstone date stamp of 3 JA/ 1854, green Aberdeen and Inverness double-ring transit of JA 5, the stamps have touched margins on one or two sides, the 4cr strip was folded over on franking and is now opened-out for display, there is also a horizontal fold that runs through the 1cr but the envelope remains attractive, to a most unlikely destination and is remarkable; ex Stewart Gardiner.
