40331   image1941 (10.12.) censored cover from Thorshavn to Portsmouth franked Denmark 40o., the addressee had left and a violet Portsmouth return cds applied 2 Jan 42 with faint framed RETURN TO SENDER and small framed PARTI and unframed RETOUR, held then, probably in London until the end of the War and censored a second time, with 16 JU 45 cds, reverse with violet handstamp 10 AUG 1945, the envelope was opened on return to the Faroes with label asking for return addressed to be supplied on envelope to avoid the need of opening the envelope, violet handstamp Retur til Afseneren with address added in manuscript.
