These first issue stamps are very rare, according to the research of Barry P. Fletcher only between 27 and 53 unused singles of each value exists. In supplement 14 Air Post stamps of the second issue are also included. 81706 ,DE,O,,   image1925, amazing collection of the air post stamps showing the AERO CORREO overprint that helped inaugurate the airmail service between the Honduran capital city Tegucigalpa, which was located in the interior of the country and Puerto Cortés on its Caribbean coast. The collection in one volume contains all the Air Post rarities except the iconic ”Black Honduras”. The stamps are in mint and used condition but also several covers are included. It starts with one of the two major rarities of the CORREO AREO issues being the famous ”red Honduras” 5c blue (Scott C3, Yvert 1b = €18'500) of which only seven are recorded. The stamp originates from position 1 and is in fine and fresh unused condition with a Philatelic Foundation 1985 certificate it was part of the Weill Brother stock. A large number of the other values are included, many with certificates of the Philatelic Foundation, Alberto Diena, Friedl expert committee, to be mentioned a rare cover to Oxford with the 5c and 20c, the unique 5c light blue inverted overprint (C2a), tied by light purple machine cancel on small turquoise piece, with 1987 P.F. Certificate (Ex Siegel N.Y rarities of the world auction 1992 and estimated there at $2000-3000), various inverted overprints, tête-bêche pairs, varieties showing the overprints on the back, the rare 10c dark blue with black overprint in mint (Yvert 2 = 4600€ with Friedl cert.) The full setting of the overprinted 20c in block of 12 (only two such full settings known, bought from Brian Moorhouse for 3000$). But also other Air Post stamps are included like Scott C33b in pair (= 1950$ with P.F cert), Sc.34 in pair with variety (800$ ++ with Friedl cert). The condition is in general very good for these issues.
