81485 Proof   1889-91, "Sudamericana" Issue, an extraordinary assembly comprising 340+ die proofs and 600 essays on paper and card including all values, issued and not issued, and displaying a wide range of shades, noted two "Santiago Derqui" 2c multiple die proof of six printed on thin paper affixed to card in mauve and brown, "Doming Sarmiento" 6c die proof in blue on thin paper affixed to large card with "Compañía Sud Americana/de Billetes de Banco/6 Jul 95 Buenos Aires" oval hs below, 1889-91 unissued 20c and 24c first state die proofs, 10p & 50p prepared but not issued die proofs, etc., with numerous examples on die sunk cards, displaying a wide range of shades, also including unissued examples and composite proofs with each displaying four or six values, some reduced but mostly fine to very fine. A spectacular and unique lot, probably being the largest available of these proofs. Viewing highly recommended.

Noted "Gregorio Funes" 50p orange-red "dentado perfecto" (perfect perforation) on thick paper mint n.h. with brown original gum and the same with "dentado imperfecto" (imperfect perforation), prepared but not issued with original white gum.
