1027   image1841 4th of Jan, entire letter with a Plate 6 1d. Black, PK, margins all round (the interior with printed questionnaire seeking a reference for a member of the clergy) the completed form then turned and re-used to the Bishop of Norwich bearing plate 6 Penny Black LH just touched to large margins dated 19 January. Both the Penny Blacks are tied by light strikes of the red Maltese Cross. The RPS Cert states PK partly lifted causing tear to the cover though still fine and of wonderful appearance. A very rare usage of exhibition quality. Ex Curruthers where it sold for over £1400.(Image 1)
