Spring Auction Series - May-June 2025 - May 26 - June 1, 2025

The  Austria catalogue presents the Karl Korn collection of unused stamps and proofs from 1850-1946, formed over several decades post-WWII, and includes rarities and many important items for collectors of Austria as well as Bosnia, Field Post, Levant and Local issues. It includes Mercury Heads, a range of proof material and varieties from the issues from the 1910s, 20s and 30s including a complete die proof of the 1933 WIPA mini sheet, inverts of the 1919 Parliament issue, just to name a few highlights.

The Brazil specialised catalogue is a fantastic lifetime’s collection of cancellations on the iconic Bull’s Eye issues, which have not been on the market for many, many years. Several are thought to be unique and have been used as illustrations in the book by Ferreira. Other highlights include a 60r used on the first day of issue from Corte and a 30r block of four.

David Feldman SA is renowned for its offerings of Egypt and have had the pleasure of handling some of the greatest collections in recent times as well as having specialised auctions annually. This sale features over 300 lots including Foreign Offices, Offices Abroad, definitives from the first issue and commemoratives through to the Arab Republic, etc.

The France & Colonies catalogue features a wide range of exceptional items at attractive starting prices. Highlights include both “Ile de France” airmail surcharges on a single cover, several 1F vermilion, unique classic covers with one featuring very rare “grill” cancels in red, and several rarities from the Colonies including St. Pierre & Miquelon. There are also a wealth of collections from France and the French colonies.

The Great Britain catalogue includes important line engraved, surface printed, KGV, QEII, while the  British Empire one feature the Swakopmund collection of South West Africa mint stamps, as well as strong sections of  Ireland including the ”Bokhara” Collection of Postal History, Stamps, Revenues and much more (Part I) and a further portion of the Barry Cousins collection, important Mauritius, Niger Coast postal history and West Indies including Turks & Caicos and St. Vincent.

Our India and Indian States catalogue features a wealth of material from pre-stamp onward, beginning with the ever popular 1854 lithograph issues including covers, used abroad cancels, De La Rue issues and a notable range of the increasingly popular Indian States.

The Switzerland catalogue incudes over 300 lots, with the iconic Cantonal issues, the Rayon issues, Sitting and Standing Helvetias, through to a range of collections of interest to dealers and collectors alike.

The general catalogue includes Europe and All World Collections countries as well as Overseas and Thematics. Notable sections include Greece with Large Hermes Heads,  Haiti with postal history from pre-stamp, British Offices, French Consular Mail, Liberty Heads, etc., another attractive offering of  Romania including the famous Bull’s Head issues, US Possessions in CubaSyria and so on.
