Autumn Auction Series: France & French Colonies - December 2025 - December 5-9, 2025

This season, from Dec 5th through Dec 9th, we present six catalogues with a broad spectrum of material from around the world.

From the Americas we have a catalogue of Latin America & USA featuring specialised Brazil and Cuba. Over 340 lots showcasing the breadth of Latin American and U.S. philately, led by the Arturo Codina Gold Medal Collection of Cuba Errors & Varieties (1892–1962), the most complete of its kind. Highlights include Brazil “Bull’s Eyes” and rare cancels, Zeppelin and airmail rarities such as the 1930 Brazil Parahyba Provisional, plus intact Bolivia and Nicaragua collections.

Our GB and British Empire has nearly 1,400 lots from Great Britain and the British Empire, ranging from classic to modern. Highlights include GB Line Engraved, Embossed and Surface Printed issues , standout King George V and QEII material, plus key Empire items from Australia, India, the British West Indies, Rhodesia, and the Cape. Featured rarities include the Ferrary 1856 4c black on blue of British Guiana and the Papua 1930 Airmail inverted overprint.

The Ireland catalogue showcases the Bokhara Collection of Irish Postal History (Part II) and the Madigan Collection of Irish Overprints (Part I) , this sale spans Irish philately from the 1700s to today. Key material includes pre-philatelic county covers, Great Britain Used in Ireland with scarce cancels, Irish Free State overprints, specimens, early first-day usages, plus extensive Revenues and complete fiscal documents, an important offering for collectors of Ireland’s postal and historical heritage.

It wouldn’t be a David Feldman auction series without our regular offering of Egypt! Over 380 lots showcasing Egypt’s rich postal history, including Foreign Post Offices, especially Austrian, along with British, French, Greek, Italian, Russian material, and Egypt Used Abroad. Highlights include key proofs, essays, and issues from the Chalhoub Collection , such as the Fourth Issue, Pictorials, Crown overprints, and material from the reigns of King Fouad I and King Farouk. With numerous items of notable provenance, this sale offers exceptional opportunities for Egypt specialists and postal historians.

Our Europe and Overseas catalogue takes us all the way to specialised China and Japan and brings us back into better sections of Romania, Austria and Luxembourg,

The France & Colonies catalog offers some wonderful rarities, a selection of more than 780 lots covering the classical period, semi-modern, with in particular an exceptional chapter dedicated to the stamps of the Liberation , and the ends of catalog, but also a superb section devoted to collections, with nearly 200 sets, including several important collections remained intact.
