280 COLL QV Stockbook crammed with more than 300 mint and used stamps, starting with first issue 4d grey-black used (2) plus one with wmk (corner fault), 6d and 1/ mint and used, several of each, 1882 1d dull claret mint (3 mint, one n/c) and 4d grey-black mint and used (2). Sideways wmks include numerous mint and used examples of each printing plus wmk varieties. The 1891-1902 issues include a few blocks, several mint and used examples of nearly all printings, 2/6 and 5/ (2 mint, one used). Also, a group of unsorted singles plus ½d surcharged bisects (3, one genuine on piece, posthumously used). Many nicely struck cork cancels. An excellent group, a few unused. Most F-VF. 281 COLL KEVII through KGVI balance of collection in 2 black stockbooks crammed with better individual items, sets mint and used, shades, and a variety of postmarks including ship cancels, London arrivals, Fox Bay and So. Georgia. The KEVII is represented by complete set used, numerous low values mint and used with a variety of shades and cancels including So. Georgia and Specimens of the 2½d, 3/ and 5/. The KGV first set includes 2d and 2½d line perfs plus a block of 4 of the latter, a comprehensive representation of printings mint and used, some blocks and a used set to the 5/. The 1921 issue sports complete sets mint and used, a large number of mint and used singles and cancels, a Swan Neck “2” in “2½d”, ½d - 2½d blocks of 4 each with light Deception Island oval cancels. Whale & Penguin issue has values to the 5/ used (2) and all line perfs. The Centenary set is complete to the 10/ denomination plus blocks of 4 of the ½d - 1/. Regrettably the blocks and high values have some toning from being housed on black pages. The KGVI includes a good selection of the 1938 definitives including 2/6 mint and used (4), 5/ (4 mint including the scarce indigo shade and 4 used, 10/ (2 mint, 4 used) and £1 (2 mint, 2 used) and the 1952 set mint and used. Numerous pleasant surprises throughout. Condition well above average with the exception of the occasional toning.
