110   image1925 PIGEON POST - GORDON BENNETT CUP BALLOON RACE: Rare, unused form carried by balloon in the 1925 Gordon Bennett Cup race. The balloonist had several pigeons on board and messages were normally to have been despatched on these forms to indicate position of balloon at stated intervals. However, the balloon came down in a storm before they could be used. A typed letter from Francis J. Field states that only 6 such forms are known to exist.
