 RED MALTESE CROSS CANCELLING 1841 1d ON COVER - VERY RARE: 4 July 1841 to Bothwell (Glasgow) bearing 1841 1d red brown JK (close to
good margins) and endorsed "Prepaid". Posted at Rutherglen (Glasgow) where the receiving house struck a readable boxed "31" on the reverse. The entire then went to Glasgow head office where the adhesive was cancelled with a RED MX. Very rare. SG
