1934 CHRISTMAS ISLAND COCONUT PLANTATION LOCAL STAMP: 10c on cover tied with 25 DEC 1934 cds alongside two Tahiti (French Indian Settlements) 15c stamps tied with slogan cancel to USA plus a used marginal example off cover with MAY28 1936 central cds. These stamps were issued by Central Pacific Coconut Plantations Ltd for use on letters from Christmas Is. via the company's agents in Tahiti, and denoted that the postage had been paid to the manager before the agents affixed ordinary Tahitian stamps to complete the postage to the various destinations.
