WWI - (15) 1916 V.fine PC "Giulio Cesare" with dr red cancel on pair 5c green, also ship censor mark. 1914 cover from Germany to an Armed Dhow "Gazzella" but with label "DESTINATAIRE INCONNU" ("Unknown Recipient"); attractive 1917 cover from R.N. "Carlo Mirabello" with fine rectangular ships pmk. and v.f red ships censor cachet, to Premeno; 1911 v.fine PPC sent from Turkey purple oval "R. POSTE/COMMANDO R. NAVE / Bengasi" and ships censor mark in red; Inter-war - 1932 env. (small stain top right) with Light cruiser "Raimondo Montecuccoli" on flap, posted from Shanghai with fine sr "6.12.37 SHANGHAI" cancelling 25 blue stamp, to Milan; WWII - many better items (15)inc. 4 Submarine covers; and a 1952-53 env. , posted at British FPO600 Trieste which appears to have been badly damaged by water (stamp washed off) transit to Munich where post office investigate reason for damage, then to USA, undeliverable, returned to Italy.
