1919 E.E.F. FLOWN LETTER 31 March 1919 printed/typed note from "Administrative Commandant GAZA" asking for the whereabouts of a
soldier. With a smudged ""AERIAL POST/EEF" h.s. and "BASE ARMY POST OFFICE" cds. Scarce. Note: Owing to internal disorders the staff of the Egyptian state railways went on strike at the end of March 1919. A military air mail service was operated
between Cairo, Port Said and Alexandria for official mail. This item was sent from Alexandria to Port Said by air, thence by rail to Gaza in Palestine and then to RAFA. (Image)
