Includes Lagos used vals. to 1/- (4) & 2/6d plus a few postcards; range of GB issues mostly on pieces (13) with Niger Company PO cancels inc. Akassa, Burutu, Lokoja, plus 26 Oct. 1897 cover to London with 2½d franking with Akassa cancel; range of GB issues optd. for Oil Rivers Protectorate with several 1/- values. Includes "Old Calabar Provisionals" 3 x ½d on 2½d being type 4 opt. in green, type 7 opt. in red and type 10 opt. in green, though none of these are guaranteed. Also a range of stamps & postcards showing various cancels of Old Calabar River, Bakana, Benin River, Bonny River, Bonny, Buguma, Opobo River, Warri, etc. Range of Niger Coast Protectorate first & second issues with values to 2/6d & 10/- displaying a wide range of PO cancels. Later issues of Southern Nigeria to 1/- used and Northern Nigeria to 1/- mint and 1d values of N. Nigeria with manuscript cancels of Jebba & Wushishi. Lot also inc. GB 1d lilac on piece dated 2 Feb. 1900 in manuscript and franked with 4 Feb. 1900 Lokoja oval cancel, scarce thus.
