with a very fine black "CARDIFF/o 163 o" 13 Jan. 1816 ds (W506) on the front with alongside a mostly v. fine framed step-type "CARDIFF/SHIP LETTER" mark (Tab.S1). Believed to be the only pre-1900 Cardiff Ship Letter of any kind that has been found.
