Also included is the Faeroe Island issue from WWII, nicely used; duplicates include 20 on 1 and 60 Øre on 6. The collection contains also French Andorra 17 values from the first issue, all nicely used, and a full set of used postage due stamps 1931/32 with overprints on French stamps also fine used (signed by Liedel BPP). 2688 image1850/1944 ca.: Used and unused, partly unmounted collection, including official stamps. Focus on Old Germany with colour varieties, multiples, and duplicates. A good section of Bavaria and Saxony, including blocks and panes, with varying condition. Also includes an album of Liechtenstein with a few better stamps and another album with pre-war blocks, including the Baltics and Eastern Europe. 2690 image1850/1930: Three large stock books containing assembled material from Turkey, mostly from the Ottoman era, beginning with the Duloz period and featuring many of the beetle-like overprints (some of doubtful authenticity), as well as items from the early Republic. Additionally, there are better stamps from Albania, Bulgaria, and Romania, along with a considerable number of lower-value stamps from various countries, with a focus on the Balkans and Eastern Europe. Many of the stamps display selected, often well-centred cancellations. An intriguing lot, well-suited for philatelic study. Begins with a pre-philatelic letter from 1848 sent from POINT-À-PITRE, followed by a tricolour and two bicolour frankings from the first general issue for Colonies, including a 30 c. + 40 c. combination, as well as a marginal pair of 20 c. Sage type stamps, all sent from Guadeloupe to France.
